Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who has an advertent proclivity for killing dogs and an inadvertent one for killing immigrants, just found out the hard way that people aren't impressed with her penchant for killing large game animals either.
ICE Barbie took to her Instagram on Monday with a series of photos from her "super fun hunt," in which she is seen cheerily posing with a dead, bloodied elk that she had shot with a crossbow.
"Finally had a little time to post a few pictures of my archery elk," Noem wrote in her post. "Super fun hunt with Patrick, Randy, Jason, and Taylor. The strategy and work paid off and I’m so grateful for their help and friendship."
Her comments section devolved into an instant dumpster fire, as even the MAGA crowd took to chastising her for bragging about killing an innocent animal.
One commenter wrote, "I’m a Conservative Republican however, I don’t condone this unnecessary killing. Let these animals roam freely & live out their lives free from violence."
Another read: "I’m a conservative as well, but I don’t like this. I understand hunting is necessary. But no need to glorify it with a dead animal teed up as a trophy to celebrate. No thanks. Hunt & go butcher your meat…no need to throw a party for the kill."
Of course, some commenters expressed support for the ousted Trump official, but apparently the negativity was enough to send Noem into a bit of a hissy fit all the same.
The same woman who included a disturbing recounting of shooting her young dog Cricket in a pit in her backyard because the dog was "untrainable" took to her comments to lash out at the people who dared to criticize her:
For those of you who choose to be ignorant and uninformed and critical, of course this beautiful animal will nourish our family and many others we will share with. These majestic animals are incredible, and I’ve loved learning their ways from my father, sharing memories in the mountains with him, my brothers, and now my friends. Shame on you who desecrate and don’t understand the stewardship responsibilities God has given us. Go to a store and shop for anything that hasn’t been harvested and you will find bare shelves and your family will starve.
Ultimately, the comments were turned off on her controversial post, and Instagram seems to have hidden the photos behind a "sensitive content" wall, warning viewers that "This post contains content that some people may find upsetting."
Noem was ousted as the Trump Era head of Homeland Security earlier this year under a cloud of scandal, ranging from dead, ICE-protesting Americans in Minnesota to rumors of an affair with her aide, Corey Lewandowski.
She now serves as a special envoy to the Shield of the Americas, where she remains shrouded in humiliating scandal, especially after the news broke that, despite her family's outward hatred from the LGBTQIA+ community, her husband was cross-dressing in internet fetish communities.
