In a recent debate, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer said that most undocumented immigrants are coming to the US to bring drugs.
NBC's David Gregory asked Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) Sunday if he agreed.
"No. I think that there’s a large number," said McCain.
But McCain was also quick to praise the governor. "I think the Governor of Arizona has done a good job in this whole debate. I may not agree with one sentence that she uses, but she’s standing up for Arizona," he said.
