We’re coming down to the home stretch of the year 2012 and the presidential election. I usually do a funder earlier than this, but I hope it’s cool with you. We need a big lift from the generosity of our readers to make this drive a big one. It's been non-stop madness out there, but that's how we like it.

So please dig deep if you can, because we’re working on a number of things in the upcoming months and need your help. The front page redesign is under way because we have to keep up with newer technologies and advanced website designs, and thus we have to rework much of our html.

Our bandwidth costs keep rising too and we keep delivering the videos, so please, can you help us maintain this enormous level of output?

Our staff has grown much bigger than ever before also and I can use your help to continue to support their valiant efforts.

Thanks for all your support because it's always been the readers of C&L that have made us an industry standard of blogs worldwide and in the liberal community. The Beltway villagers and the online community have taken notice over the years as well, bestowing on us some cool awards.

In 2009, TIME Magazine called us one of the Top 25 Blogs of the year.

Via TIME:

When professional musician John Amato launched the Crooks and Liars political blog in September 2004, it featured something that was quite novel in those ancient pre-YouTube days: video clips. Today, Crooks and Liars is among the most widely read political blogs on the Web, and Amato — now known in blog circles as "the Vlogfather" — is recognized as a pioneer of video blogging. The video selections — snippets from government press briefings, Congressional hearings and TV talk shows — are the sort of clips that Jon Stewart uses for fodder, but this is a chance to see the video in its original unintentionally humorous context. Amato leans liberal, but his blog is an equal opportunity attack dog, taking a bite out of the crooks and liars on both sides of the aisle.

In 2008, C&L won the Web Blog award for Best Political Blog on the net.

These are just a few and I'm posting this for our newer readers. Once again thanks so much for your support.

Can you help us out?

For nearly 20 years we have been exposing Washington lies and untangling media deceit, but now Facebook is drowning us in an ocean of right wing lies. Please give a one-time or recurring donation, or buy a year's subscription for an ad-free experience. Thank you.
