According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Afghanistan is now 3,255.

In addition, the following notable names passed away this week:
Business owner Jacki Clérico, GA state politician Rodney Mims Cook, Sr, MS state politician David Gibbs, PA state politician H. Craig Lewis, Tuskegee Airman Quentin Smith, sports executive George Gund III, advice columnist Pauline "Dear Abby" Phillips, actor Robert Chew, civil rights pioneer James Hood, game designer Lynn Willis, baseball Hall of Famers Earl Weaver and Stan Musial.
