From Sports Night, one of my all-time favorite shows on television, brilliantly written by Aaron Sorkin.

Now it appears Sorkin will be deriving inspiration for another series from the same inspiration for Sports Night:

Word is that Sorkin is mulling over the idea of a new TV drama that takes a behind-the-scenes look at a cable news program (think: Keith Olbermann's show on MSNBC)

The idea the lead character could be based on Olbermann is not entirely surprising, or new — in a 1999 interview, Sorkin told Olbermann he was the "origin" for one of the leads in his prior series, "Sports Night."
