This Week marks the passings of actor Robert Culp, iconic rock photographer Jim Marshall, publisher Harold W. McGraw Jr., ESPN founder Chet Simmons, pilot Robert M. White. In addition, the Pentagon released the names of seven servicemembers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

US Marines SgtMaj Robert J Cottle, 45, Whittier, CA

US Marines LCpl Rick J Centanni, 19, Yorba Linda, CA

According to iCasualties, this brings the total number of allied servicemembers killed in Iraq to 4,704; in Afghanistan, 1,703. During this same period, Iraq Body Count lists 92 Iraqi civilians killed. And as Obama makes a surprise visit to Afghanistan today, the Afghan government reports at least six civilians were killed by bombs this week and more than 30 Afghans killed and 80 wounded by gunfire by American and NATO troops at checkpoints since last summer.
