Fela Kuti was a pioneer of the Afrobeat genre, which blended elements of jazz, funk, and traditional African music to create an entirely new, unique style. Afrobeat is characterized by its grandiose horn arrangements and complex rhythms that make for a sound which influenced musicians around the world. To this day, Fela's sons Femi and Seun carry on his legacy, performing his works along with new ones that they have created.
