Sean Hannity usually just smears President Obama for the things that he says and the policies he puts forth, but on this segment he actually attacks him because someone in the audience had a quacking duck ring tone.
Hannity must feel threatened by the insane ramblings of Glenn Beck because in this segment it's quite apparent that Hannity is just "Daffy." FOX really has gone hog wild off the wall since Obama took office. Sure, their ratings are going up but that's because they want to attract the crazy people demographic. Hey, and it's working.

For a joke to be funny it has to have a bases for truth. Obama gets respect at home and across the globe. Chimp was the one who got no respect worldwide and at home with a 2-1 disapproval rating, Chimp was the Dangerfield of American presidents.
Hannity just made an ass of himself, again. Conservative attemps at humor always seem to come across as desperate and mean spirited. A Jon Stewart or Steve Colbert Hannity is not. FAIL.

Makes sense when you think about it. The real news neteworks, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS...etc...divide market up between the majority of Americans who want to be informed and think for themsleves. As you can see, Rush falls in the middle of these two. This helpful scale allows us to quickly place any of the wingnuts. Ann Coulter for instance would fall between Rush and Beck (closer to Beck). Hannity is on the same side but closer to Rush.

That's an interesting idea. If I could amend it (and why would I, for God's sake?), I think I'd just call it the "nut scale." Rush is probably a lot closer to O'Reilly. I'm kind of thinking Howard Stern lies more in the center. He's not really conservative, but he does seem to be more a blend of belligerent ass and "ass-clown."
The thing that really struck me about this, though, was its connection to the whole "what's left-wing extremist, what's right-wing extremist" discussion. Sort of like Hitler on the extreme right and Stalin on the extreme left.

A&C were a regular part of my childhood and I've probably seen everything they've done on film. I couldn't agree with you more. The point was that the Hannity-Beck duo are more to be laughed at than taken seriously. Also, I've always felt that Hannity looked oddly like a young Lou Costello.
So, I wasn't comparing their talent or comedic genius.

"Their ratings are going up" for the same reason people slow down to view a traffic accident or stop to watch monkeys at the zoo throwing sh## at each other.
I think Fox News wanted to remind their homophobic "culture warrior" viewers that Obama is down with the evil geys. Not only that, he is so beholden to them, that he must give a speech honoring them. (I doubt Fox has said one word about the gay community's frustrations with the president).
