Artist Choice series.

I'm going to have various artists make choices for the music club. CLLN Music Club is really starting to reach out into the world of music. I have one label, "Concord" which is going to be supplying music for us and free cds as giveaways.

Howie Klein ran into Rocky Burnette over at MOG. He asked him what song he worked on that was his all-time favorite. Remember, this is the guy who revitalized rockabilly before the Stray Cats and Cramps became popular. Like every artist we've ever met, his all-time favorite is the latest one he was working on, in this case "Dreamin'" from the upcoming album TODAY.

Since we couldn't coax an advance copy out him, he had to come up with a favorite that is currently available: "Toein' the Line" from his 1979 debut. "It has paid the rent for many years. Definitely one of my better songs and I clearly remember the day we recorded it."

Can you help us out?

For nearly 20 years we have been exposing Washington lies and untangling media deceit, but now Facebook is drowning us in an ocean of right wing lies. Please give a one-time or recurring donation, or buy a year's subscription for an ad-free experience. Thank you.
