Ex-Captain Beefheart guitarist Gary Lucas is an old pal and recently he gave me a CD he made with the son of another old friend (long departed), Tim Buckley. The tracks, recorded between the spring of 1991 and the spring of 1992, helped give form to eventual hits like "Grace" and "Mojo Pin." Tonight I figured we'd give a shot to "How Long Will It Take" from Songs To Nowhere by Gary Lucas and Jeff Buckley, one of my favorite songs on this collaborative effort.
