Mike's Blog Round Up
August 27, 2014

Alright, so yesterday Jon Chait, love him or loathe him (I'm more in the former camp) turned his attention to "the Insular World of the Obama-Hating Left," which, I'm sure, means some of you. Now, my mind today is more on my upcoming fantasy football draft than on the insular world of Thomas Frank and Cornel West, but I will say that Chait is sort of right, is he not, even if he dismisses anti-Obama criticism from the left, some of which I have espoused myself, as unrealistic and basically insane? It's a provocative piece. So, thoughts? Let's start with some:

Lawyers, Guns & Money: Attacking Obama, getting history wrong.

Firedoglake: Defending Obama, getting politics wrong.

But because, give or take, we're all on the same side (let us not forget), we move on…

Occasional Planet: Women's rights, 94 years and counting.

Messaging Matters: After Ferguson, done with the GOP.

P.M. Carpenter: Obama's Syria strategy, like it or not.

Round-up by Michael J.W. Stickings of The Reaction. (Twitter: @mjwstickings.) I'll be here all week.
