Herbie Hancock is one of the greatest composers and jazz pianists of all time and in this video he's joined by Lionel Loueke: Guitar, Marcus Miller: Electric Bass, Vinnie Colaiuta: Drums and Bob Sheppard on Tenor Saxophone as they play "Cantaloupe Island."

I remember seeing Bob Sheppard tour with Steely Dan back in the 90's and he was electric so I'm featuring him tonight because of two reasons. First of all he's an incredible player and musician who should not be missed or overlooked and secondly, I started taking some lessons from him before I reinjured my nerve damage in May and I quickly learned that he's also a dynamic educator.

Check out his website here, where you can buy his latest CD. He also has his own line of sax mouthpieces which I can vouch for.
