President Obama was too kind to those 47 Senators who signed the Iran letter. So kind, in fact, he killed them with kindness in this interview with Vice News.

"I'm embarrassed for them," the president remarked of the letter's original 47 signatories, which included the Republican Senate leadership as well as potential 2016 presidential candidates Ted Cruz (Texas), Marco Rubio (Florida), and Rand Paul (Kentucky). "For them to address a letter to the ayatollah — the supreme leader of Iran, who they claim is our mortal enemy — and their basic argument to them is: don't deal with our president, because you can't trust him to follow through on an agreement... That's close to unprecedented."

However, that hasn't stopped even more Republican 2016 hopefuls from throwing their support over to the letter's signatories. Earlier this week, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal added his name to the list formally.

Obama went on to say that he's prepared to do whatever needs to be done to keep Iran from securing nuclear weapons, "but the absolute best solution is a diplomatic resolution."

Well, yes, unless you're a warmongering servant to the war profiteers. Then, not so much.
