Fox News' Chris Stirewalt, a digital politics editor, came on Happening Now, to discuss the overall chaos caused by Rep. McCarthy's decision to drop out of the Speaker race.

He went on and on about how much turmoil American politics is in at the moment and then called the speaker of the House "the worst job in Washington, DC."

Stirewalt: No sane, sentient mammal would want this job. This is the worst job in Washington by many orders of magnitude. It is a thankless, terrible job...Lordy day, what a disaster of a job this is.

Why didn't Stirewalt tell the Fox News audience why, suddenly, the once powerful Speaker position has become such a nightmare? Maybe it's because he'd have to throw the Tea Party under the bus and admit they have made it impossible for any Speaker to govern, but Rupert Murdoch can't have that. Conservatives are the reason nothing gets done in Washington and why the Speaker job is a thankless and horrific position in today's world. But, you know, it's both sides.

Then, after being asked who he'd put his money on as the new Speaker, (He hedged his bet on Paul Ryan) Stirewalt threw out a name that most Americans despise.

Stirewalt: A long time Hill person, (Not from The Hills Have Eyes) a guy who has worked campaigns at the national level, who knows all these people says - Dick Cheney is the answer for the caretaker, he served in the House, he has respect on both sides...and that is my favorite current crazy suggestion.

First off, how does Dick Cheney have respect on both aisles? Aisles between D's and R's or between conservatives and radical extremist conservatives? This reminds me of when the state of Kansas got overrun by Operation Rescue and it split the conservatives into two camps, mods and cons. And Kansas is in dire shape now after a con (Gov Brownback) has destroyed their economy.
