He Survived Three Tours In Iraq But Open Carry Killed Him

Andrew Alan Myers was the man on the bicycle who begged for his life before Noah Harpham shot him dead.

Myers had survived three tours in Iraq, according to The Denver Post.

He leaves behind two sons, age 11 and 13, an ex-wife, parents and grandparents.

He is one year younger than my oldest son, who also served in the Army, and whom I worried about every single day he was in the military.

I don't worry about him being shot by some random killer on the street, because in these parts we don't have laws that let lunatics swagger around with weapons of mass killing on their backs.

But in Colorado, it's legal, so the cops couldn't respond to the 911 call until Mr. Myers was dead in the street.

His blood is on Wayne LaPierre, the NRA and every open carry nut in this country. Every one.

Vote for reasonable gun safety laws. Defund the NRA. And for the love of God, put an end to this ridiculous ammosexual need to walk around with guns on the street.
