In the wake of the latest violence against the gay community, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez pushed back hard on Lauren Boebert's "thoughts and prayers" BS:
AOC is right. This entire year has seen Republicans and their media agitators and MAGA supporters develop horrific conspiracies against the LGBTQAI+ community in order to gain political power. Revving up the hatred against "the Left" who only want tolerance and welcoming for all people.
It's been sickening to witness.
Instead of the Salem Witch trials, Republicans have tied the queer community to a wooden stake and lightning propaganda fires with torches to burn them down.
Bogus claims that school teachers were teaching children how to mutilate themselves and change gender rang out through wingnut Facebook and on Fox News.
After Florida passed its 'don't say gay" legislation, Fox News's Tucker Carlson defended it to the high heavens and demanded teachers be beaten up.
"In many cases, kids are pressured by the people in charge, and that means teachers and administrators," to change their sexual identity and orientation.
"You shouldn't be talking to kindergarteners about gender identity, especially if you are not their parents," he said.
Carlson continued, "That's creepy. You should be arrested for that, in fact. You talk about sex in kindergarten, and you get beaten up. You should be beaten up!
Carlson's rant was depraved.
On April 7th of 2022, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to be a Supreme Court Justice, but Republicans used their time by claiming Jackson was soft on child porn and a defender of pedos.
Sen. Marsha Blackburn was one of the worst during the confirmation process:
"I can only wonder what your hidden agenda is. Is it to let child predators back to the streets?" Blackburn said.
"How, for example, will Judge Jackson be able to resolve sex discrimination claims if she can’t decide whether the parties before her are women?"
Marjorie Taylor Greene pronounced that any Republican who voted to confirm Brown is pro-pedophile.
Horrible homophobic agitators like 'Libs of TikTok' passed around videos like this to stir up hate:
They found their defenders at Fox News.
Governor Ron DeSantis jumped on the hate bandwagon and attacked Florida parents for supposedly taking their kids to drag shows and indoctrinating them.
I wrote this on June 16, 2022: Drag Queens Next On The Ron DeSantis Menu
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is now considering using Child Protective Services to investigate parents who allegedly take their kids to drag shows.
You heard right."We have child protective statutes on the books. We have laws against child endangerment,” said the Governor. “Now it just seems like there’s a concerted effort to be exposing kids more and more to things that are not age-appropriate.”
Why the outrage? Because they saw one video. That's all it takes for homophobic activists to pounce.
The attacks on the LGBTQIA community from the corrupt religious right characters dominating the GOP are intensifying minute by minute.
And they've never stopped. Right-wing hate mongers turned their ire on the trans community.
On October 22, 2022, as the country closed in on the midterms, Christopher Rufo, the originator of the CRT lie, wrote a long article that Fox News published: Drag Queen Story Hour's radical origins and the subversive sexualization of our kids
The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro have made it their mission to attack the entire queer community and are helping red cities to pass anti-gay legislation.
As I've dug into C&L's archives, I realized there are too many examples of homophobic hate from the right to put into one article.
It was just a matter of time for a right wing freak to take up arms against the gays.
But don't ask these creeps to take any responsibility since they know full well teachers aren't corrupting children in schools. Here are their responses:
Like white nationalists that instigate and commit hate crimes against non-whites, they refuse to take responsibility.
Go to hell, one and all.
