Multi-instrumentalist John Bradbury joined The Specials in 1979 as their drummer. After they split up he continued with working with the original member Jerry Dammers The Special AKA. John was largely responsible for that band's top 10 hit "Free Nelson Mandela."

When the Specials reunited in 2008 (sans Dammers) John was back behind the kit. He playing style was not only integral to the Specials sound but for the whole Two-Tone scene and modern Ska wave that followed.

Word from England came in today that he has passed away at the age of 62.

RIP
