One of the national traits highlighted by the Republican primary season is that each state is an outlier. Iowa is overly evangelical, New Hampshire is not. And South Carolina...OMG.

A recent PPP Poll indicates that 29% of South Carolina Republicans "wish the South had won" the Civil War. Thirty-five percent are "not sure." And one out of ten South Carolina Republicans are willing to tell a pollster that they agree with the statement "Whites are a superior race." Here's a clip; the entire poll results (pdf) are here.

Turns out more South Carolina Republicans would "let" a homosexual into the country than a Muslim. Because liberal? Nevermind, a majority want their Confederate flag back.

These people vote. Remember that in November.
