Late Sunday the Cruz and Kasich teams put on nearly identical statements regarding banding together to stop the Trump Train. This news did not go over well with Donald Trump and his response online was swift and filled with lots of descriptive words, like "sad!", "desperate!" and "weakness!"
A few tweets:
DESPERATION!
Wow, just announced that Lyin' Ted and Kasich are going to collude in order to keep me from getting the Republican nomination. DESPERATION!

Sad!
Lyin' Ted and Kasich are mathematically dead and totally desperate. Their donors & special interest groups are not happy with them. Sad!

Weakness!
Lyin' Ted Cruz and 1 for 38 Kasich are unable to beat me on their own so they have to team up (collusion) in a two on one. Shows weakness!

Weak AND Desperate!
Shows how weak and desperate Lyin' Ted is when he has to team up with a guy who openly can't stand him and is only 1 win and 38 losses.

During a press conference Trump said:
"It's collusion! You know, if you collude in business or in the stock market, they put you in jail. But in politics, because it is a rigged system, a corrupt enterprise, you are allowed to collude. And actually I am happy because It shows how weak they are, how pathetic they are....let me tell you, and I said, it takes two long time politicians to try and get together to beat Trump and yet they are way behind. And I said to myself, that is pretty bad. And I have only been doing this for 10 months!"
Will this partnership stop the Trump Train or are we already reeling towards the inevitable demise of the GOP? Should this tactic had been kept semi private or was making it public a ploy to see if Trump will implode? Time will tell.
