Trump Gets The All-Important Dan Quayle Endorsement

Dan Quayle portrayed on SNL in 1988 as a sleeping child. Yep.

In endorsing Trump, former H.W. Bush Vice President Dan Quayle provided an amazing word salad that I'm sure made Sarah Palin green with envy. USA Today has the 'transcript' if you can call it that. Comparing Trump to Hillary Clinton, Quayle said:

"On paper, you'd say, well, she's more qualified. But you know what? He's more qualified in the sense that the American people, I think, want an outsider," Quayle said. "And they want an outsider this time. She's not an outsider, so if you're looking for an outsider, no, she's not qualified, and he is."

“In the normal sorting out process, the cream usually goes to the top, right? And I didn't realize that Donald Trump was going to be the cream that got to the top"

That's coming from someone who is universally acknowledged to be the most unqualified Vice President of the modern age, inside or outside of a dairy farm, Dan. Just saying.

Bush Sr., Dubya, and Jeb have all announced that they are not supporting Trump. I expect the Bushes don't pick up when "D. Quayle" appears on the caller ID.
