Trump surrogate Rudy Giuliani tells CNN's Jake Tapper that Trump was right to say the election may be rigged because Democrats could steal a close election by having dead people vote in "inner cities."
October 16, 2016

Rudy Giuliani continued to lie his senile face off by pushing this ridiculous lie that the election is "rigged" and somehow Hillary Clinton is going to "steal it." His idea? Dead people will vote in inner cities in droves. Zombies? Voters coming in full costumes with fake ID's? No, this won't happen. But Rudy refused to give up this idea. Here is what he said to Jake Tapper:

"You want me to (say) that I think the election in Philadelphia and Chicago is going to be fair? I would have to be a moron to say that"

Uh, you are a moron for thinking this conspiracy theory.

Rudy tries to tell Jake that no, it has nothing to do with actual voters, rather it is the "media" who is biased. Yeah. Well, we just report the stories and unfortunately for your candidate, all the news about him is bad.

Jake quickly pivots back to Trump instructing his minions to go to the polling place to actually watch voters (ie, classic voter intimidation) in certain areas.

Rudy continues to justify this false narrative:

Giuliani: "I can't sit here and tell you that they (Democrats) don't cheat. And I know that because they control the polling places in these areas. There are no Republicans, and it's very hard to get people there who will challenge votes. So what they do is, they leave dead people on the rolls and then they pay people to vote as dead people, four, five, six, seven. I've found very few situations where Republicans cheat. They don't control the inner cities the way Democrats do. Maybe if Republicans controlled the inner cities, they'd do as much cheating as Democrats do."

Tapper: "I think there are a lot of elections experts that would have very, very strong disagreements with you."

Mind you, numerous polling officials and specialists have debunked this theory months ago.

Ryan Godfrey, an election inspector in Philadelphia, went on an epic twitter tweetstorm back in August where he debunked every single theory about how easy it is to steal an election. Here is the parent tweet, fall underneath. It is an excellent read:

Also, a Republican lawyer that goes by the handle "Ashby Law" further debunked this "rigged election" theory just yesterday. Again, here is the parent tweet with many tweets falling underneath.

So to wrap up - no one steals elections. Voter fraud is remarkably a non issue. The only true voter fraud is the systematic disenfranchisement and rigging by the GOP to prevent people of color from voting in large parts of this country, specifically in swing states, though shortened early voting days, limiting hours and making securing voter ID nearly impossible. That is the true voter fraud.
