C&L's Music Club Remembers Fats Domino

RIP Fats Domino

I can't give you an exact number of the amount of times I heard Fats Domino songs in my house while growing up but I can assure you it was very, very many.

During Hurricane Katrina, one of the biggest worries amongst the music heads in the world was "Is Fats Domino okay?" There were even rumors that he perished during the storm that decimated New Orleans Lower Ninth Ward. There was a sigh of relief when the news came out that he was found and rescused.

This morning's news though wasn't so happy.

Antoine "Fats" Domino passed away of natural causes yesterday at his daughter's house. He was 89 years old.

One of the architects of Rock & Rock is gone.
