In case you were wondering why "Connie" was trending yesterday, listen to this call-out for the ages, and just TRY to tell me local government doesn't matter.

This was a school board meeting, where the topic of discussion was renaming one of the schools. Most of the schools students are Black, and the school is named after Robert E. Lee. Connie, shall we say, was not in favor of changing the name. And during the debate? Connie was on her laptop shopping for dresses.

The hero who called her out, and spoke to ALL the board members by name is Gary Chambers Jr. And if after watching and listening to him, you don't see the power and value of civic involvement at every level, you are beyond help.
