On Wednesday, according to CBS News reporter Scott MacFarlane, five family members from Texas were sentenced for taking part in the Capitol riot on January 6. And if you thought the mother had learned her lesson for believing former President Donald Trump's big lie of a rigged election, you'd be wrong.
Dawn Munn wanted leniency from the judge. However, that didn't stop her from regurgitating Trump's lie of massive voter fraud that never took place.
"I'm sorry for what happened on January 6," Dawn Munn said. "I understand this country has been divided between conservative and non-conservative values."
"I do not understand why our election is not secure," Munn added. "If we don't have a secure election, we don't have a country."
The judge was not amused.
Ironically, a stimulus check helped pay for their dream vacation.
According to MacFarlane, prosecutors asked for Dawn and Thomas Munn to serve one month in prison. And a sentence of 21 days in jail was requested for the couple's three adult children, but D.C. District Court Chief Judge Beryl Howell declined.
Kristi Munn, 30, who celebrated in a Facebook message following the insurrection, was sentenced to three years probation and 90 days of house arrest. She wore a Trump banner in the Capitol as if it was a cape.
The protests went "fucking great," she wrote. "Holy shit, we were inside the fucking capital!" Now she can brag about being on probation, having a record, and being on house arrest. Yay, you!
Joshua, 25, and Kayli, 20, were sentenced to three years of probation.
An entire family took part in the chaos on January 6 for Donald J. Trump, a septuagenarian who wears lifts to appear taller and is now under investigation for espionage. All of this for a man who would rather watch this country burn to the ground than ever admit that he was defeated in the 2020 Presidential election.
MAGA is dying a very long and exhausting death, but hear me out; I have an idea. Let's just strategically place a few Cracker Barrels to bring the entire movement to a crawl as gravy-like blood runs through their clogged arteries. No? OK, what are your ideas, then? Don't look at me like that. At least I'm trying :(
