Election workers have faced unprecedented threats and harrassment since Donald Trump took office in 2017. Following the November 2020 election and the attempted coup on January 6th, there was widespread fear about dangers that poll workers faced leading up to and on election day 2022. But they showed up and did everything they could to keep our elections safe and secure - and thankfully, outside of a few tantrums by losing Republicans (cough cough Kari Lake), it went pretty smoothly.
Not that there was not news.

A man who threatened to kill elections officials in Arizona is facing criminal charges.
Workers in Michigan were recognized for their hard work.
People wrote letters of appreciation in Buckingham and Minnesota. And Greene County.
