House Speaker Kevin McCarthy might feel the wrath from the perpetually angry MAGA crowd after he answered a reporter's question as to whether rioter Ashli Babbit "was murdered or do you think the police officer who shot her was doing his job?"
"I think the police officer did his job," McCarthy said before walking away.
Watch:
We knew this. MAGA knows this. They've been telling us for years that unarmed Black men get shot by the police for not complying with their orders. Over and over again. They tell us the same excuse of why it's OK for the police to kill with impunity.
But now that a Black officer shot a white woman while she was crawling through the window at the Capitol while leading a mob of unruly savages, that's not OK with people like former President Donald Trump, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Rep. Paul Gosar. Oh, and Tucker Carlson. He's a real Babbit fanboy.
Greene, who is sitting on committee seats again thanks to McCarthy, is laser-focused on making a martyr out of Babbit and heroes out of the Jan. 6 defendants. This Congress won't be boring, that's for sure.
At least McCarthy found a sliver of his spine. It appears that after he blasted Trump for the Jan. 6 riot, he lost it again.
