Matt Taibbi testified during today's House Oversight hearing on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, that the Twitter Files story is far worse for Americans than the 2008 financial collapse.

Rep. Mike Johnson from Louisiana proclaimed that Twitter suppressed Americans' first amendment rights, claiming fact checkers and experts are completely unreliable before asking his questions. (All lies, of course)

"How do you rate the reporting on the Twitter Files among your whole body of work throughout your career? How serious is this?" Rep. Johnson asked

"I would say I spent 10 years covering the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis that was obviously a very serious issue," Taibbi said. "But this Twitter files story in what we're looking at now and what were investigating now, I don't think there's any comparison."

"This is by far the most serious thing that I've ever looked at and it certainly the most grave story I've ever worked personally," Taibbi claimed.

During The Great Recession in America alone, millions of jobs were lost in the aftermath of the Wall Streets con game. People lost savings and haven't yet recovered. They lost their homes. They lost their livelihoods.

Million of households and families were ruined.

Almost ten million homes were lost to the banks.

Trillions of dollars lost in the markets.

The entire world was catapulted into a dark recession for years.

But having a social media company refuse to continually promote right wing conspiracy theories and unproven Giuliani claims was far worse?

Matt Taibbi is a f**king clown.

Jim Jordan's committee has only served to show the public how unserious and ridiculous they are.
