In Traverse City, Michigan, a hair salon co-owner took steps to ostracize the LGBTQ+ community from her business, which she did very viciously. Studio 8 Hair Lab's owner, Christine Geiger's now-deleted Facebook post reads like Ted Nugent took a shit all over her business's page.
"If a human identifies as anything other than a man/woman, please seek services at a local pet groomer," Studio 8 Hair Lab posted. "You are not welcome at this salon. Period. Should you request to have a particular pronoun used please note we may simply refer to you as 'hey you.'"
As the Detroit Free Press notes, people weren't too happy with the bigot's post, so they posted screenshots of the original remarks.
It's all over Facebook and Twitter now.
On Instagram, It (I have decided that the owner's pronoun is 'it') has its account set to private now. The business has one whole follower. Its description reads, "A private CONSERVATIVE business that does not cater to woke ideologies."
Oh, how edgy, It is.
According to Its LinkedIn page, Its business has been around for over three years. Well, it was a nice run.
Geiger (pronoun: It) responded to a Facebook post, saying, "I have no issues with LGB. It's the TQ+ that I'm not going to support."
It went on to encourage those who disapprove of Its beliefs to visit other salons and stylists "willing to cater to what (she) will not."
Annnd done! I hope It dies broke and alone. I said what I said! Btw, It is a one-chair salon. Sounds like you could have used the money, girl It.
