Why does Fox host Maria Bartiromo still have a job after her role in costing her network $787.5 million in the Dominion defamation lawsuit, and with a similar biggie coming up with the Smartmatic suit?

It’s probably because she’s spreading the same dangerous lies the network and the GOP want her to. On Monday, C&L’s Karoli Kuns caught House Oversight chairman James Comer and Fox “legal analyst” Jonathan Turley promoting the same, already-debunked propaganda about Hunter and Joe Biden’s finances. On Tuesday, Bartiromo called the nothingburger “corruption in plain sight.”

Bartiromo was referring to payments from Hunter Biden’s law firm, Owasco PC, to his father, Joe Biden. She spoke accusingly of three payments of “nearly $1400” that brought “the total to more than $4,000." What “business” anchor Bartiromo was either too lazy to find out herself or too dishonest to tell viewers is that the payments were reimbursements from Hunter to his father for a truck Joe Biden bought for his use. As Karoli noted, not only did The Washington Post verify the truth but the New York Post, a cousin of Fox News and Fox Business, reported the payments more than a year and a half ago. Also, the payments were in 2018, when Joe Biden was a private citizen and Donald Trump was in office.

But Bartiromo used her fake corruption claim to push her Republican guest, Rep. Jodey Arrington, into declaring the need for an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. “Is this going to lead to a formal impeachment inquiry against President Biden?” she “asked.”

If Arrington truly thought the reimbursements were corrupt, you know he would have said so right away. Instead, he cagily replied, “Well, I’m not gonna presume on the outcome” and “we’ll let Jamie Comer and Jim Jordan do their job.” But he obediently added, “there's a lot of smoke and we're starting to see fire in terms of more than conflict of interest, but criminal behavior, and certainly abuses of power.”

Arrington falsely claimed that he thinks “most of the American people are seeing something that would result in an impeachable offense, but we're not going to presume on that.” He called an impeachment inquiry a “tool to get at all the facts” because while he predicted “the right outcome in the House,” they have to make the case to the Senate “and we have to bring the American people along, so they don’t think we’re politicizing it” like what happened to poor Donald Trump.

In other words, Arrington knows they’ve got nothing on Biden but the House will provide the “right outcome” and impeach him anyway.

What a pair of disgraces to America.
