During the RNC Midterm Convention going from September 9-10th, Trump's Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins was asked how the administration plans to lower the costs of food and fuel. Rollins painted a picture that was so unreal and untrue that you have to wonder if she lives in the same country as the rest of us.

Rollins joined NewsNation Wednesday and as the interview closed she was asked to comment on the issues that are causing grief for the people she swore an oath to protect and serve.

Markie Martin asked Rollins to respond as though she was a voter instead of a cabinet member.

MARTIN: And unpack, you know, prices a little bit more for me, as I mentioned off the top, I'm asking you questions as, you know, as though you're a private citizen and a regular voter.

You're paying the same high prices in food and gas as the rest of us are. Diesel is at all-time high.

As someone who is there at the convention as a voter, obviously you're not an undecided voter, but what do you want to hear?

And do you think your party will offer up a remedy for prices here in the next couple days?

As usual, Rollins began by blaming the Biden administration.

No voters are blaming Biden for the predicament we are in today. Trump has been in office for almost two years and he's made things exponentially worse.

"Under the last administration, under the Biden team, the cost of food went up almost 25 percent on average," Rollins claimed. "So you had a lot of food go up higher than that, a lot go, you know, a little bit under that, but all of it went up in a significant amount."

Rollins then launched into a Trump approved monologue that was so disingenuous, it was infuriating.

ROLLINS: Over the last two years, we've seen a lot of proteins come down, dairies down 17 percent, cheeses down, fruits and veggies are down almost 20 percent.

And over the last two years, we're holding it right at 2.8 percent, which is the 20-year historical average for food.

So actually, we've seen it finally right-sizing. And this is what happens when you cut taxes, you cut government, you get government out of the way, you stop spending so much money.

You see those numbers really begin to finally right-size and come down in a significant way. Even beef, Markie, which I know we've all been talking about, especially me for now a year or two.

MARTIN: Even just about 20 seconds left, ma'am, sorry to cut you off.

No, no, I was going to say, even ground beef is down for the first time in five years since 2021.

So we're making significant progress on prices.

Huh? WTF is she talking about?

I will not break down every word she uttered because it would take me another two hours.

Gas prices hit a record high this Labor Day and people are forced to live using credit cards. Grocery store prices have actually plateaued or risen slightly over the last two years, rather than experiencing the historic 17% to 20% drops she claimed.

She is a monster in a pantsuit.

Nothing she says is credible.

Oh, and by the way, in keeping with how media refuses to call out these lies, Martin did not ask a follow up question or push back at all.

Instead she ended the interview.
