Sen. Elizabeth Warren was speaking with reporters, saying how irresponsible it was for Congress to go on recess when the country is facing an AI crisis, an economic crisis, and a crisis in Iran. She also criticized Speaker Jebus Johnson for ending the session early to avoid a vote on the impeachment of Secretary of War Crimes Whiskey Pete Hegseth.
A reporter caught Warren off guard by repeating Johnson's claim that his leadership led to this being the most productive Congress ever:
"Speaker Johnson has said this is the most productive Congress ever," one reporter said. Warren howled with laughter.
"Productive of what? More 'yes, Donald Trump, whatever you want,'" Warren said. "I'm just — that's really nuts!"
Warren threw her hand in the air as she walked through the door and cried, "Unbelievable!" She could still be heard laughing after it closed.
Needless to say, Johnson's claim was fact-checked and - surprise, surprise - he was not being honest with that claim. In fact, it was one of the least productive Congress sessions in recent history.
I'd advise Johnson to go to confession to cleanse his soul, but he sold that long ago.
