One of life's true joys is watching right-wingers gleefully rally around a Republican who says something stupid and electorally damaging. Fortunately, this happens with increasing frequency.

So, even though Mitt Romney -- like every presidential candidate -- needs Democratic and moderate votes to win the White House -- the likes of Erick Erickson and Michelle Malkin squeal with pleasure when he derisively calls half the country ("those people") moochers and leeches.

It's almost as though Malkin and her ilk really believe that the GOP's path to victory is to win 140% of the wingnut vote.

So funny.
