California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger made a few jokes at the expense of Rush Limbaugh and Mel Gibson Wednesday.

Speaking to the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, the governor took a swipe at the popular conservative radio host's weight.

"I'm very happy that I workout every day one hour," said Schwarzenegger.

"Just last week I lifted 375 pounds... I lifted Rush Limbaugh out of the chair," he said to raucous laughter.

Talking about the BP oil leak, the governor also turned his wit to Mel Gibson. "The good news is that BP has contained the oil lead," he said.

"The bad news is that no one has figured out how to contain Mel Gibson," Schwarzenegger joked. "This is why I want to ask all of you to just please turn off your cell phones because we are expecting a call from him."
