As Digby noted, "CNN is very serious about getting a big piece of that very valuable Old White Guy audience" with the hire of Wall Street apologist, Erin Burnett:
It's so great they gave Burnett her own show. She's just the right gal for the moment, which with all her Wall Street experience and economic savvy:
Lots more examples of Burnett's wankery in Dibgy's post that follows, so just go read the rest. TYT's Cenk Uygur tore into her for the segment during her premier this Monday where she was mocking the Occupy Wall Street protesters as well in the clip above.
I put together a mashup of her "Seriously" commentary he was blasting her for along with some follow up she did the following night in the clip below.
It didn't get much better the next night where she was telling everyone we should be rooting for those "job creators" on Wall Street.
Transcripts are available here for anyone that either can't or doesn't want to watch the clips.
And here she is while she was responding to Michael Moore, who wasn't too thrilled with her defending the banks during her opening show.
All in the name of some good hearted "fun" doncha' know. I'm sure Fox would love to have her as well if she gets tired of working for CNN. Although with the hires of Erick Erickson, Dana Loesch and her fellow Wall Street suck up, Alison Kosik, it looks like she's going to fit right in there.
