This Week with George Stephanopoulos notes the passings of two service members in Afghanistan.

US Navy PO1 Kevin R Ebbert, 32, Arcata, CA
US Marines Cpl Christopher M Monahan Jr, 25, Island Heights, NJ

According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Afghanistan is now 3,234.

In addition, the following notable names lost their lives this week:

Singer Earl Carroll, stage and film producer Martin Richards, Missouri state rep Peter C Myers, Canadian politician Shawn Little, MLB Union leader Marvin Miller, singer/songwriter Mickey Baker, motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, civil rights leader and Harlem Globetrotter Harry Sykes and football player Jovan Belcher.
