This Week with Christiane Amanpour marks the passing of computer innovator Steve Jobs, civil rights activist Rev. Fred Shuttlesworth, television ratings executive AC Nielsen and Raiders football team owner Al Davis. In addition, the Pentagon has released the names of four service members killed in Afghanistan.

According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Iraq is now 4,795; in Afghanistan, 2,756. During this week, Iraq Body Count enumerates 74 Iraqi civilians. 335 Iraq civilians were killed for the month of September. In Afghanistan, it was announced this week that there would be investigations into 99 Afghan civilian deaths at the hands of British troops.
