I posted about this book a few weeks ago. (quick review)
I like Robert Crais although not as much as a Michael Connelly or Lawrence Block, but he is entertaining. This novel breaks away from Crais' signature character Elvis Cole and has a new hero in Max Holman, an ex-bank robber. Max gets out of prison to find that his son (a cop) was murdered and goes on a mission to uncover what happened to him. "The Two Minute Rule," is the time a bank robber has to complete his heist and get out of the bank safely.I did enjoy it although I would give it only 3 1/2 stars out of five. It's one of those easy reading books that has an Edward Bunker feel to it, but isn't as hard boiled as I usually like them. The ending did wrap it up nicely.
