One of the things that I strive to teach my children is that the holidays are the season of giving--not receiving. To that end, since they were reasonably able to understand the concept, we've focused on their creating gifts for family and friends. We've also tried to extend that concept beyond their immediate family to think of others in other parts of the world and ways that they can help.
This year our family donated to Heifer International and Glide Memorial Church. So I ask that other C&Lers share organizations that do good work so that hopefully, others can help.
