It's amazing that she wrote this stuff in 2003, long before any of the stuff in it happened. I should stop calling Rilo Kiley "she." They're a band-- from my neighborhood (Silverlake)-- with 3 guys and a woman singer, Jenny Lewis. Jenny and Blake Sennett, the guitar player and co-writer, were both TV stars before they formed the band. She was in Troop Beverly Hills and he was in Boy Meets World. Good thing the music is so good!

They've been working on a new album, UNDER THE BLACKLIGHT, due out in August. I sure hope it's as good as their indie stuff. Like, "It's A Hit," which should have been.
