I'll be going to my friend Harold Owen's National Kidney Foundation fundraiser Tuesday night at 8 PM PST---so if you're in the Los Angeles area please come and join me. Joe Walsh of the Eagles will be sitting in with JD & The Straight Shot band (here's the MySpace page with some of their music) and I'm sure there will be a host of other great musicians there. I may try to sit in on a tune if I can. It's at the Roxy Theatre, 9009 W. Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA.

More information below the fold...

Ticket Price: 50 General, $125 VIP seating. Both include hosted bar and appetizers. Proceeds benefit the National Kidney Foundation of Southern California and NKF's Harold Owens Fund.

JD & The Straight Shot are bringing their signature blues-rock swagger to the legendary Roxy Theatre on Hollywood's Sunset Strip for a star-studded showcase of their brand-new sophomore album, Right on Time (release date June 24). Joining JD & the Straight Shot for the great cause will be Grammy-winning Eagles member Joe Walsh, who appears on Right on Time's "Slow Motion in Reverse."

During the event, the band will be accepting donations for the National Kidney Foundation's Harold Owens Fund, which appropriately benefits the beloved MusiCares Foundation Director. The event will also feature an auction of specially donated items and appearances by celebrity guests, who will be on hand to help raise awareness for the Foundation.

Donations can be made to the NKF "Harold Owens Event" (please include this information in the memo line) at

www.kidney.org or www.livingdonors.org.
