Rep. Adam Schiff: Benghazi Select Committee ‘Colossal Waste Of Time’

Rep. Adam Schiff states the obvious on how the Democrats should deal with the GOP's witch hunt on Benghazi.

Rep. Adam Schiff stated the obvious when asked by Fox's Chris Wallace if the Democrats were going to be participating in this select committee on Benghazi just announced by Speaker John Boehner: Schiff: Benghazi select committee a ‘colossal waste of time’:

Establishing a select committee to investigate the State Department's handling of the 2012 attack on a U.S. diplomatic outpost in Libya is a "colossal waste of time," according to Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.).

"We've had four bipartisan investigations already," Schiff said on "Fox News Sunday," adding that the Republican plans to create the committee are politically motivated.

Schiff also said that Democratic leaders should not appoint anyone to the committee. "I don't think it makes sense, really, for Democrats to participate," he said. "I think it's just a tremendous red herring and a waste of taxpayer resources."

Schiff told Wallace the Democrats should not be giving the committee any more credibility than it deserves, and he's exactly right. Republicans have wasted millions of dollars on this nonsense and the Democrats don't need to be helping them in that endeavor.
