This is my personal favorite performance of Der Freischutz, as it's got a less traditional, minimalist take on the classic. The staging is sparse, but very unorthodox, featuring moving walls and floors. If you can find the famous "Wolf's Glen" scene from this version of the opera, then you're in for a real treat (also be sure to let me know!).

Got any favorite operas?
