In 1955, Bill Haley's "Rock Around The Clock" is often thought of as one (maybe the one) of the first big time rock hits that was made famous in the movies and it got me thinking about that time in 1986, when Robert Johnson met the Devil and they battled it out for his soul. Oh, wait, Robert Johnson died in 1938 so it couldn't have been him. Damn, it was Ralph Macchio, who battled against the Devil for Willie "Blind Dog Fulton's soul. Sorry about the mix up.

Thanks to Ry Cooder, Steve Vai, Sonny Terry and Arlen Roth, it was all great fun, especially the blistering guitar Duel at the end of the movie.

Obviously Ralph Macchio won Willie's soul back by shredding a theme from Paganini's Caprice No. 5, but it still was a hoot. Actually it was Steve Vai doing the shredding.
