Smooth McGroove is the stage name of Max Gleason, a musician from Oklahoma. Gleason began his musical career at the age of 11, when he took up the drums. Eventually, Gleason started giving music lessons as a private instructor to support himself. After posting some of his original works online and forming a band (which has since fallen apart), he began to rap about video games before moving onto a capella arrangements. In 2012, Gleason began posting a capella arrangements of video game music under the moniker of Smooth McGroove. These arrangements, as you'll see and hear in the video above, are performed entirely by McGroove himself with nothing more than his mouth and a microphone. He also films himself while doing so in order to show how his voice interacts with himself in these arrangements. This also adds a little bit of a performance aspect to his videos, which is a good thing for any musician to have in their work. Needless to say, he's one talented arranger and singer, who is sure to entertain you whether or not you are a fan of video game music.
