I was just in Moss Landing in July, but I didn't get to see anything like this.

A pair of kayakers got a literal brush with nature as a humpback whale breached atop their boat in Monterey Bay, Calif., on Saturday.

The force of the 40-tonne giant's fall caught part of the boat, knocking the paddlers into the ocean, a local tour captain told the Monterey Herald.

Both kayakers escaped without being hurt, although one told Capt. Mike Sack he felt the animal brush by him in the water, the newspaper reported.
