Joy Division played Birmingham University, England on this day on May 2nd, in 1980. It ended up being their last gig ever with singer Ian Curtis. He committed suicide two weeks later.
Back in my high school days of the 1980s it seemed every brooding person when through a Doors phase. According to my son, all the high school brooders today go through a Joy Division phase.
