After putting Friday's music club post to bed I stepped away from the internet for a while. A lot of my work at my day job involves me being on it and a break was called for.
Yesterday I read the news that Bernie Worrell of Funkadelic had passed away from cancer.
Growing up in the fringe of the range of Detroit radio stations I may not have known Bernie's name until I grew into my teenage years via the Talking Heads but I did know Funkadelic's music pretty well way before that.
