Ya know, back in the good ol' days, Christianity took commandments about "thou shalt not commit adultery or engage in idolatry" as being an "in general" thing, instead of a "but if you're a Republican go ahead" thing.

Right wing "preacher" Andrew Wommack answers a question from Facebook (Vladimir, is that you?) about how is it possible for people to be so blind as to not see how God is using Donald Trump?

Okay, I'll admit it. I think God is using Donald Trump to destroy the Republican Party, but I digress.

Wommack reaches for his smartphone Bible and pulls out "Two Thessalonians, am I right? The Bible is the whole ballgame."

Right Wing Watch takes it from there:

Paul warns that, in the Last Days, God will send a “powerful delusion” on those “refused to love the truth,” Wommack said that this is precisely what is happening now.

“How come people can’t see things today?” he asked. “It really defies logic. It really does defy logic. It seems like there is a supernatural deception that’s over people that they can’t see the fallacy of what they’re doing.”

“I do believe that we are in the End Times and this is one of the signs of the End Times,” Wommack said. “I believe that there is a demonic deception that is blinding people today.”

Can you help us out?

For nearly 20 years we have been exposing Washington lies and untangling media deceit, but now Facebook is drowning us in an ocean of right wing lies. Please give a one-time or recurring donation, or buy a year's subscription for an ad-free experience. Thank you.
