C&L's Late Nite Music Club With Kurtis Blow

Breaks to make your wallet lean

Kurtis Blow was the first rapper to sign with a major record label. His 1980 self-titled debut album featured the single "The Breaks" which was first certified gold record in Hip Hop music.

In my high school, a dance was not complete if the DJ did not play this song at least once.

Kurtis turns 60 years old today.
