On this date in 1987 David Bowie kicked of the North American leg of The Glass Spider Tour at the Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Some friends and I caught the show at the Rosemont. After the show we could not find the damn car anywhere so, using our big brains, we waited until nearly everyone had cleared out for it to reveal itself, which was also long enough for us to see Bowie and his entourage leave via a fleet of limos. As we drove home we passed a car that was fully on fire, which seemed significant and portentous at the time, but was not.

Attention dinosaur nerds! It's not every day that paleontologists discovered a new species of dinosaur that was a big like the Tyrannosaurus Rex. And was a predator like the Tyrannosaurus Rex. And had comically short arms like the Tyrannosaurus Rex. Wait. Are we 100% sure this wasn't just a Tyrannosaurus Rex?
